Information about the lectures

The Chair of Turbomachinery and Flight Propulsion offers a series of lectures and exercises on general fluidic problems in turbomachinery. Moreover, additional lectures for those students are offered, who are interested in more details on the flight propulsion system.

Studying at the Chair of Turbomachinery and Flight Propulsion

The lectures of the Chair of Turbomachinery and Flight Propulsion are aimed at students of Mechanical Engineering specialising in Aerospace Engineering, Power Engineering and other fields of study.

Foundations are taught in the subjects Aeroengines I and Fluid mechanics fundamentals of turbomachinery. In the specialisation course “Flight Propulsion” details of the individual engine components and the entire system are discussed.
 

During the summer semester, the Turbomachinery Colloquium is held together with the Chair of Thermal Power Machinery and Plants. Lecturers from industry and research report about current developments and challenges.
