Auszeichnungen
- Die Diplomarbeit von Sebastian Rank wurde vom Verein Deutscher Ingenieure mit dem VDI Studienpreis für Logistik 2012 sowie von der Bundesvereinigung Logistik mit dem BVL Thesis Award 2012 ausgezeichnet. Im Kern der Arbeit geht es um die Etablierung virtueller Realität im Rahmen der Materialflussplanung. Durch eine immersive Wahrnehmung und eine Interaktive Gestaltung von komplexen Materialflusssystemen lassen sich erhebliche Kosten- sowie Zeit- und Qualitätsvorteile generieren.
- Die Dissertation von Sebastian Rank wurde mit dem Wissenschaftspreis Logistik ausgezeichnet. Die Arbeit behandelt das Phänomen der Autokorrelation in innerbetrieblichen Transportsystemen schlägt eine spezielle Vorfahrtstrategie zur Erreichung des Durchsatzmaximum bei gleichzeitiger Lastbalancierung.
