In the research project "BeFaNa - Consulting tool for factory planning under sustainability aspects", we and our research partner LOGSOL GmbH are pursuing the goal of supporting companies in systematically integrating sustainability aspects into the planning and further development of their production sites.
Increasing demands on resource efficiency, climate protection and sustainable production systems require new solutions. This is exactly where BeFaNa comes in: with a practical, digital approach that provides companies with orientation and makes concrete areas of activity visible.
The project is divided into two coordinated modules:
- A web-based self-test enables companies to analyze their current status in the area of sustainable factory planning in a structured and uncomplicated way. Without external expert knowledge, companies quickly obtain a well-founded overview of their initial situation. The tool identifies relevant areas of activity, efficiency potential and starting points for improving sustainability and resource efficiency in a targeted manner. Thanks to its scientifically sound and practical design, the self-test can be used across all sectors and is suitable for companies of all sizes.
- A consulting tool then supports experts in the concrete planning process with a methodical approach. Planners can analyze the potential identified in the self-test in greater depth and develop tailored solutions. They can draw on a technology database that provides sustainable solutions for specific use cases.
BeFaNa thus creates transparency, identifies potential and paves the way to the sustainable factory of the future.
