Successful defense of Dr.-Ing. Sven Hellmann's dissertation
On May 12, 2026, Dr.-Ing. Sven Hellmann defended his dissertation entitled "Advective and convective heat transfer in porous textile structures for the fixation of preforms in continuous fiber composite production", which he wrote at the Institute of Textile Machinery and High Performance Material Technology (ITM) at TU Dresden, under the chairmanship of Prof. Markus Schubert from the Institute of Process Engineering and Environmental Technology at TU Dresden.

The dissertation was assessed by Prof. Chokri Cherif (ITM) and Prof. Frank Ficker (Hof University of Applied Sciences). Further members of the doctoral committee were Prof. Yordan Kyosev (ITM) and Prof. Alexander Pfriem (Institute of Natural Materials Technology, TU Dresden).
