The Chair of Assembly Technology for Textile Products is part of the Institute of Textile Technology and High Performance Material Technology at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
Research and education at the Chair of Assembly Technology for Textile Products comprises digital product and process chain development, joining technologies, and the development of ready-made machinery. Hence, we focus on the development of serial processess and the realization of individual products using state-of-the-art technology for sports, medical, and protective textiles as well as for automobile interiors, fibre-reinforced composites, and household textiles.
Mr Univ. Prof. Dr.- Ing. habil. Hartmut Rödel has been Head of the Chair of Ready-made Technology since 1996. In March 2018, he entered his well-deserved retirement.
Until the vacancy has been filled, the chair was temporarily led by Ms Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Sybille Krzywinski.
On August 1st 2019, Mr Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Yordan Kyosev was appointed university professor (W3) at TU Dresden and is now head of the chair with its new denomination "Chair of Assembly Technology for Textile Products".
