Workshop and Experimental Services Johannstadt
The workshop and experimental field Johannstadt (WVJ) is part of the Combined Workshop and Experimental Field (WVV) in the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering. The WVJ facilities are located on the Johannstadt campus.
The WVJ primarily provides services for the following Institutes
- Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology
- Institute of Aerospace Engineering
- Institute of Material Handling and Industrial Engineering
These include
- Mechanical machining (milling, turning...) based on drawings or CAD models
- Assembly of components and test rigs
- Advice and cooperation during the development of components and devices
- Mediation and organisation of collaborations within the faculty, the university and with external partners
A detailed list of equipment and thus the manufacturing processes we offer can be found under Services.
The services are rendered in close collaboration with technical staff who are funded by third parties and the institute’s own budget.
