TUD Global Citizenship Lab (Winter Semester 2026/27): Register now!
TUD Global Citizenship Lab
We are delighted to announce the TUD Global Citizenship Lab (GC-Lab) for the 2026/27 winter semester. The program is funded by the DAAD with support from the Federal Foreign Office and is being implemented in collaboration with the FIT:TER (“Promoting International Talent for Integration into Higher Education and the Labor Market”) and the Philipp Schwartz Initiative for Endangered Scholars.
The GC-Lab will take place as a two-day intensive course:
- Friday, October 23, 2026, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Saturday, October 24, 2026, 9:00 a.m.–5:00/6:00 p.m.
At the COSMO Science Forum, Schlossstraße 2 (at the Altmarkt), Dresden.
Topic: Connection, Community, and Sense of Belonging
The GC-Lab offers an interactive, interdisciplinary, and transcultural space for learning, exchange, and collaboration. Together with inspiring peers, experts, and stakeholders from academia and civil society, participants will discuss current topics related to community, belonging, and global responsibility.
Why participate?
Through the GC-Lab, participants expand their intercultural, global, communicative, social, and professional skills. At the same time, they build connections with local stakeholders, gain insights into local opportunities for education, participation, and civic engagement, and strengthen their ties to the local community.
Part of the TUD Global Citizenship Certificate Program
The GC-Lab is the introductory event for the TUD Global Citizenship Certificate program, which trains TUD members—especially future graduates—to become globally minded and locally engaged global citizens.
All TUD students (including exchange students) and doctoral candidates can register for the certificate program at any time via the ZIH login. Participation in the program is not a prerequisite for participating in the GC-Lab.
