Conditions of participation

• Students enrolled at and graduates of TU Dresden may participate up to one year after completing their studies (Note: graduates need a valid ZIH login). If there are additional free slots, students enrolled at other universities in Saxony can also take advantage of the offers. Please contact: .
• Registered participants must be present at the beginning of the event, otherwise the right to participate expires.
• If there are still places available at the beginning of the event, these places will be allocated to students present even without prior OPAL registration (applies exclusively to face-to-face events).
• Graduates need a valid TU login to participate. Without a valid login, the right to participate expires.

De-registration

• Should you not be able to participate in an event, you are obliged to de-register. It is possible to remove yourself from the OPAL list of participants usually up to 24 hours before the event begins. After that, you can only de-register with good reason by contacting Dr. Kathy Küchenmeister either by email or by phone: +49 351 463-42404.
• Failure to attend without prior cancellation will result in exclusion from the entire range of courses offered by Career Service for one semester.

Exclusion of liability

• The Career Service, including its representatives and agents, shall not be liable for any damages or injuries of any kind that may arise from participation in any event of the Career Service, unless caused by intent or gross negligence. TU Dresden is also not liable for damages and consequential damages caused by persons who are neither staff of TU Dresden nor acting on their behalf.
• In the event of force majeure or disturbance of industrial peace, any obligation on the part of the organiser to fulfil orders or to pay damaged shall expire.
• Career Service reserves the right to adjust or cancel an event for valid reasons (time, place, content). All students registered up to this point will be informed of this promptly.
• Individual courses (webinars etc.) are partly conducted using commercial service providers (e.g. Zoom). Use of these services is voluntary and at your own risk. The Career Service assumes no liability in terms of data protection or otherwise. 

Severability clause

If one of the aforementioned provisions should become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. In this case, the invalid clause will be replaced by a provision that comes closest to the invalid clause in terms of its economic purpose and intention.
