To use the events offered by the Career Service, you must register via the OPAL learning platform. You will need your TU login (ZIH login). If you have any questions about your login details, please contact the ZIH (telephone service desk: +49 351 463-40000).

We ask students with disabilities to contact us in advance so that we can respond to individual needs in a targeted manner.

Participation requirements

• Students enrolled at TU Dresden and their graduates up to one year after graduation are eligible to participate(ATTENTION: graduates need a valid ^ZIH login1).
• If capacities are available beyond this, enrolled students from other Saxon universities and their graduates can also take advantage of the offers up to one year after graduation. Please send inquiries to: . There is no entitlement to participation.
• Registered participants must be present at the beginning of the event, otherwise the right to participate expires.
• If there are still places available at the start of the event, these will be allocated to TU Dresden students present without prior OPAL registration (applies exclusively to face-to-face events).
• Graduates require a valid TU login to participate. Without a valid login, the right to participate expires.

Deregistration

• If you are unable to attend an event, you are obliged to deregister. It is usually possible to deregister from the OPAL participant list up to 24 hours before the start of the event. After that, deregistration is only possible for a valid reason by e-mail .
• Non-attendance without prior deregistration will result in exclusion from the entire range of Career Service events for one semester.

Exclusion of liability

• The Career Service or its representatives and agents are not liable for damages and consequential damages or injuries of any kind that may result from participation in a Career Service event, unless they were caused by intent or gross negligence. TU Dresden is also not liable for damages and consequential damages caused by persons who are neither employees:of TU Dresden nor acting on its behalf.
• In the event of force majeure or disturbance of industrial peace, any obligation on the part of the organizer to fulfil orders and pay compensation shall lapse.
• The Career Service reserves the right to adjust or cancel events for valid reasons (time, place, content). All students registered up to this point will be informed promptly.
• Individual events (online seminars etc.) are sometimes held via commercial services (e.g. Zoom). Use is voluntary and at your own risk. The Career Service accepts no liability for data protection or other issues.

Competition

If a competition is part of the event, the following conditions apply:

• Only participants registered with OPAL who are present during the event and the prize draw are eligible to take part in the prize draw. All former and current employees of the TU Dresden Career Service are excluded.
• Legal recourse is excluded with regard to the drawing of the winners.
• The Career Service of TU Dresden does not guarantee that the prizes are free of defects.

Severability clause

If one of the above provisions is invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. In this case, the ineffective clause shall be replaced by a provision that comes closest to the ineffective clause in terms of its economic purpose and intention.
