Collection over Lunch
One of the central tasks of the Office for Academic Heritage is to open a dialogue between the general public and the historical collections of TU Dresden. In order to make these (hidden) treasures of the university accessible to everyone, the Office for Academic Heritage has launched a new event series during the 2022/2023 winter semester. Once a month during the lecture period, it focuses on a new collection from TU Dresden's extensive holdings.
Titled "Collection over Lunch", the Office for Academic Heritage, in cooperation with the collection managers, offers guided tours of different collection spaces during the course period, always on the second Thursday of each month at 12 noon. The tours offer exciting and entertaining insights into collections that otherwise remain closed to the public. The collection managers introduce the history and current use of the historical objects and teaching materials under their care, outline their tasks and present ongoing projects.
