Annual Conference of the Working Group of German International Residency Programs (ADIR)
Tagung internationaler Residenzprogramme, ADIR, 26. Juni 2026
On June 26, more than 80 representatives from over 60 international residency programs gathered at the ZK/U – Center for Art and Urbanism in Berlin. The conference focused on exchanging perspectives on current social, political, and institutional challenges, as well as exploring how artistic residencies can create spaces of refuge and open up new possibilities for artists.
The Schaufler Residency@TU Dresden and the S+T+ARTS Ec(h)o Residency were also represented at the conference organized by the Arbeitskreis Deutscher Internationaler Residenzprogramme (Working Group of German International Residency Programs, ADIR) by Pauline Hohn (Curatorial Assistant for the Schaufler Residency@TU Dresden and the S+T+ARTS Ec(h)o Residency, TUD). The intensive exchange with colleagues from all over Germany, the diverse program, and the workshops provided valuable insights for the further development of our own curatorial work in the context of artist-in-residence formats and programs at TUD.
