“More Than Just Color!” Prof. Dr. Bernd Plietker presents TU Dresden's Dye Collection (Museum Bautzen, June 18, 2026)
The Dye Collection, still housed in its historic spaces in the König-Bau, is one of the most significant collections at TU Dresden. With over 1,500 natural dyes, more than 20,000 commercial samples of synthetic dyes, and over 2,000 color sample cards and color sample books, it offers a unique cross-section of 150 years of dye research in Dresden.
