New publication by Kirsten Vincenz in the journal "Forschung und Lehre" of the German University Association (3/26)
Under the title "Paradoxes Dasein: Objekte als Wissensspeicher für die Zukunft (Paradoxical Existence: Objects as a Knowledge Store for the Future), Kirsten Vincenz (Director Office for Academic Heritage) together with Bernd Plietker (Chair of Organic Chemistry I; Curator of the Dye Collection) shed light on the central role of university collections for research and knowledge development.
Using the TUD's dye collection as an example, the authors impressively show how objects not only preserve knowledge, but also contribute to the reconstruction of scientific processes and the generation of new knowledge.
