S+T+ARTS Online-Kolloquium Merve Şahin: "Merging Visions"
Merve Şahin (Artist) in conversation with Susanne Malheiros (High-Performance Computing Center Stuttgart) and Margarethe Lasinger (Salzburg Festival). Moderator: Matvey Fridman (Media Solution Center Baden-Württemberg e.V.)
This session offers insights into the project “Merging Visions” by artist Merve Şahin, which was developed in close collaboration with the Salzburg Festival Archive and the High-Performance Computing Center Stuttgart. „Merging Visions“ reframes urban digital twins as cultural and artistic experiences, combining digital media with physical elements. The project draws on urban simulations, animation, immersive environments, and tangible interfaces to propose a more sensitive approach to digital reconstruction of built environments and nature. It invites audiences to perceive urban space through shifting scales and temporalities, fostering a renewed awareness of responsibility, care, and the entanglement of human and non-human systems.
Die Kustodie der TUD is organizing an online colloquium as part of the S+T+ARTS Ec(h)o project, which each month highlights an artistic residency project.
