Diversity Days 2026: What We Don't See — Invisible Realities on Campus
From November 2 to 7, 2026, TU Dresden will host Diversity Days under the theme“What We Don’t See—Invisible Realities on Campus.” Lectures, workshops, discussion panels, creative activities, and other formats invite participants to shed light on hidden realities of life, discover new perspectives, and foster dialogue about diversity and respectful coexistence on campus.
Highlights from the program:
November 2, 2026, starting at 6:00 p.m. | Film with introduction: Sorda – The Sound of the World
Ángela is deaf; her partner, Héctor, is hearing. As they await the birth of their first child, questions arise about parenthood, self-determination, and the barriers of a world that is not equally accessible to everyone. Director Eva Libertad sensitively explores love, misunderstandings, and life in a society that often overlooks different needs.
Location: Zentralkino Dresden | Language: Original film with German subtitles
November 4, 2026, starting at 7:00 p.m. | Reading and Discussion: My Body—Whose Decision? Why We Need Reproductive Justice
Drawing on personal experiences and societal debates, author Sibel Schick explores why bodily self-determination is political. She shows how structural inequalities prevent reproductive justice and why genuine self-determination is a task for society as a whole.
Location: riesa efau. Kultur Forum Dresden, Motorenhalle, Wachsbleichstraße 4a, 01067 Dresden | Language: German
November 5, 2026, 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. |LEGO® Serious Game: The Game of Futures – Origin, Present, Future
