The School of Medicine: Teaching and Research – Directly for the People
The School of Medicine provides a broad professional focus and academic diversity by offering degree programmes such as Medicine, Dentistry, Public Health and Medical Radiation Sciences. More than 2,500 students are enrolled in these subjects in Dresden. Research is specialised in the fields of oncology as well as in metabolic, neurological, and psychiatric disorders. Within these focal points, overarching theme complexes like degeneration and regeneration, imaging and technology development, immunology and inflammation as well as prevention and healthcare research are of special interest.
