Jun 11, 2026 - Jun 12, 2026; Conference
oMFT – University Medicine Forum
Since 1913, the Medizinischer Fakultätentag (MFT) – the association of medical faculties and research institutions in Germany – has organised the Annual Medical Faculty Conference (oMFT) at the locations of its member institutions each year. In 2026, the conference will be held at the TUD Faculty of Medicine.
In June, representatives from academia, healthcare policy, industry, and student bodies will gather for intensive, results-oriented discussions. The conference serves as a networking event focused on university medical education, medical research and university-affiliated healthcare.
What role does university medicine play as a locational factor? How is a new generation of medical students changing teaching and the academic experience? How do we address challenges such as anti-science populism and civil-military research collaborations? We would like to discuss these and other questions with you. Take a look at the oMFT programme: https://www.omft.de/programm/.
We are delighted that the Prime Minister of the Free State of Saxony, Michael Kretschmer, will open the conference. The Minister of Science of Brandenburg, Dr. Manja Schüle, and the Minister of Science of Saxony, Sebastian Gemkow, have also confirmed their attendance.
Registration for interested participants and members of the press is available here: https://www.omft.de/anmeldung/.
