Why do we need quotas in further training, Antje Bergmann?
Her CV is long, as is the list of positions she has held, but Antje Bergmann starts by making one thing clear: she is a GP. Her everyday life? A mixture of practice, research, teaching and voluntary work. ‘I have contact with patients every day - that grounds me and helps me to break down the big discussions in politics and science to the essentials.’ Practical relevance instead of theoretical debates is important to her. Bergmann, born in 1970, is a professor of general medicine and heads the Department of General Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at TU Dresden. She is also President of the Saxon Society for General Practice (SGAM) - just one of the many honorary posts held by the Zwickau native.
