Welcome to the Core Facility Cellular Imaging
The Core Facility Cellular Imaging has a facility and a research group:
Facility:
The facility is a joined light and electron microscopy facility in the Medical Theoretical Centre in Dresden. Our goal is to provide advanced imaging techniques and support to everyone who is interested. Technical assistance and support is available, as well as online scheduling.
Research:
The research group is interested in how the microtubule cytoskeleton is modulated within cells to fulfill functions in meiosis, mitosis and abscission. We are mainly applying correlative light microscopy and electron tomography to study the 3-D organization of microtubules in nematode and mammalian systems.
Alle zwei Jahre nehmen wir am Maustüröffnertag teil, um Kindern die Mikroskopie und Wissenschaft näher zu bringen.
Seit dem Schuljahresbeginn 2017/2018 zeigen wir Schülern des Gymnasiums Bürgerwiese die kleinen Dinge in der Welt. Im Rahmen der AG Mikroskopieren vermitteln wir spielerisch die Grundlagen der Optik und die Abläufe in der Natur/Umwelt/Biologie.
Alle zwei Wochen findet die AG Mikroskopieren unter der Leitung von erfahrenen Mitarbeitern des BioDIP (Biopolis Dresden Imaging Platform) statt.
