- November 1748 – Inauguration of the Saxony Elector and Royal Polish “Collegium Medico-Chirurgicum”
- October 1815 – Inauguration of the Royal Saxon Medical and Surgical Academy in the Kurländer Palais
- 1898 - 1901 – Foundation and new construction of the Municipal Hospital Dresden-Johannstadt at the premises of today’s FM/UKD
- 07 September 1954 – Foundation of the Medical Academy “CGC” Dresden, Rector Magnificus Prof. Dr. Albert Fromme

- 01 October 1993 – Foundation of the FM out of the Medical Academy “CGC”, komm. Dean Prof. Dr. med. Bach
- 1999 – Start of DIPOL® (Dresden Integrated Patient- / Practice- / Problem-Oriented Learning)
- 01 July 1999 – Change of legal form with the set-up of the Public Agency (Anstalt öffentlichen Rechts) University Hospital CGC
- 1999 – Appointed “Reformed Faculty” by the Donors' Association for the Promotion of Humanities and Sciences (Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft)
- 2000 – Inauguration of the new construction of the Medical-Theoretical Centre
