Oncological Diseases
Our goal is to advance the understanding and treatment of oncological diseases
through cutting-edge research, innovative diagnostics and patient-centered
and patient-centered therapeutic approaches. We want to bridge the gap between
between basic research and clinical application in order to further develop precision medicine in oncology and open up new perspectives for prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer. Our research programs focus on the molecular characterization of tumors, the identification of individual risk factors and the development of
personalized therapies.
National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT/UCC) Dresden
Through the close integration of methods such as next-generation sequencing,
bioinformatic analysis, AI-supported pathology and innovative radiation research
we create the basis for customized treatment options. As a location of the German Consortium for Translational Cancer Research (DKTK) and the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT/UCC Dresden), we have an excellent infrastructure for translational and interdisciplinary research. We rely on collaborations with partners from academia, the clinical sector, and industry, with the goal of rapidly translating scientific breakthroughs into clinical practice and society.
