EJE Rising Stars 2024: Congratulations to Nicole Bechmann (Dresden) and Barbara Altieri (Würzburg)

Every two years, the editors of the “European Journal of Endocrinology” (EJE) honour outstanding individuals with the “EJE Rising Stars Award” in recognition of their independent and leading contributions to both clinical and translational endocrine research. The “EJE Rising Stars Award” is awarded to researchers who have not only achieved excellence in research but also have the potential to become future editors of the EJE.

As part of this award, awardees receive a two-year membership of the EJE Rising Star Reviewer Board, access to a special mentoring programme aimed at developing future EJE editors, and a travel grant to attend the European Congress of Endocrinology (ECE) and EJE Editorial Board meetings.

We are particularly proud that two members of our Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) have been awarded this prestigious prize. For their outstanding achievements in the field of endocrine research, we would therefore like to express our warmest congratulations and appreciation to Nicole Bechmann (Dresden) and Barbara Altieri (Würzburg). Their work not only contributes significantly to scientific progress, but also strengthens the reputation of our field of research in the international scientific community.
