The Faculty of Medicine offers various funding opportunities for early-career researchers. The following funding programs are designed to provide early-career researchers with optimal support at the various career stages.
Carus Doctoral College
The Carus Doctoral College of the Faculty of Medicine at TU Dresden offers a clearly structured supervision and quality assurance concept for the completion of dissertations. To the Carus Doctoral College website
Keep-on-Track - SHK Funding (part of P.R.I.S.)
"Keep on track" is a follow-up funding program for doctoral candidates in medicine, which follows the leave of absence in the experimental phase of the doctorate. The funding enables excellent and motivated medical students to continue their connection to a scientific working group through their own SHK position, to purposefully complete a high-quality doctorate and to prepare their first publications. MeDDrive
Project funding can be applied for as part of a MeDDrive project. MeDDrive funding offers young researchers the opportunity to work more intensively on a scientific issue of their own choice for the first time. To the MeDDrive website
ForwarDD
The ForwarDD Clinician Scientist Program of the Dresden University Medical Center supports clinically active physicians and dentists in parallel to their medical training. To the ForwarDD website
Women's habilitation program
The habilitation funding for women supports female scientists on their way to habilitation.Even if a shoe seems half a size too big at first, put it on, it will soon fit. Travel for Science (part of P.R.I.S.)
This funding is open to all early-career scientists who are still at the beginning of their scientific establishment phase. The aim is to promote active participation in conferences with own contributions (poster and/or lecture). All individuals who are currently employed at the Faculty of Medicine or the University Hospital are eligible to apply. Doctoral candidates, doctoral scholarship holders and recipients of a student assistant funding who are enrolled at the Faculty of Medicine can also apply for this support program.
