Aims

CAMINO supports Advanced Clinician Scientists at the interface between clinical practice and research. A structured concept fosters long-term and reliable career paths for Camino fellows at the Faculty of Medicine in Dresden.

FOR Advanced Clinician Scientists

  • Linking their research with interdisciplinary and innovative patient care,

  • long-term career perspectives and target positions supported by career-enhancing measures,

  • the establishment of sustainable mentoring and training concepts,

  • protected time for research as well as resources for translational, clinical research,

  • accreditation of  training (in close cooperation with the state medical associations), and

  • the possibility to develop joint projects in research alliances with cancer experts on campus.

FOR Dresdens Biomedical Campus

  • the strengthening of oncological expertise and translation in the 4 research pipelines, 
  • crosslinking of involved stakeholders within cancer research and patient care to develop innovative concepts 
  • Long-term commitment of dedicated Advanced Clinician Scientists towards Dresdens translational oncology research.
