The Faculty of Medicine at TU Dresden is part of the International Collaboration and Exchange Program (ICEP Global) for the second time. The program serves as an international networking and exchange format for students of medicine, dentistry, biomedicine and health sciences and aims to strengthen the global competencies of future health professionals.
In a competitive selection process, five students from our faculty secured a place in this year's program: Katharina Menzel, Denise Dressler, Charlotte Wahl and Jovan Spasovski from the Medicine degree program and Leonhard Block from the MEDiC model degree program. Since October they have been participating in the online program, which runs until May 2026.
During this period, the participating students engage in virtual seminars and discussion sessions with students and lecturers from 41 partner universities worldwide. The thematic focus ranges from global health education, migration and health to ethics in medicine. The goal is to gain insights into different healthcare systems, understand international perspectives and discuss joint approaches to global challenges.
Upon successful completion of the online program, students also qualify for a research stay at one of the partner universities in the ICEP network. This is a valuable opportunity to gain international research experience and build personal connections within the ICEP community.
We wish our five participants every success and enjoyment in this exciting experience and hope that the impressions gained during the program will accompany them on their academic and professional path.
