NETWORK STUDIO "eHealth" - impulses for new projects and interdisciplinary networking
On September 30, 2025, the NETWORK STUDIO on the topic of "eHealth" took place in the Gerhart Potthoff Building at TUD Dresden University of Technology. Scientists from various fields, such as Medicine, Computer Science and other related disciplines, came together from 15:30 to 18:30. The aim of the event was to network participants in a targeted manner and to provide information on current funding opportunities as part of the new "Future eHealth" announcement by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR).
After the welcome by the organizers from the Project Scouts team and the Science Support team of the Faculty of Medicine, the focus was on peer-to-peer exchange: the participants presented their research in short pitches and made suggestions for potential funding applications. Particular attention was paid to the interdisciplinary networking of the various specialist disciplines. The scientists present took the opportunity to concretize ideas for cooperative project proposals and to network with potential partners in a targeted manner.
The background to the event is the current BMFTR funding guideline "Future eHealth". It supports interdisciplinary junior consortia that want to jointly develop innovative digital methods for health research. The focus is on data-driven research approaches, artificial intelligence, in-silico modeling and the use of already available biomedical data. The funding is aimed in particular at postdocs from mathematical and computer science disciplines and the life sciences who wish to cooperate across locations. The aim is to further expand scientific excellence in the field of eHealth in Germany and to get innovative projects off the ground.
Interested parties can submit project outlines until 15.12.2025.
The NETZWORK STUDIO "eHealth" has impressively demonstrated how important personal exchange and early networking are for the development of new research approaches and successful project proposals.
