Episode 41: From data to dialog
To kick off the Schaufler Residency@TU Dresden 2026, space will be opened up for exchange, perspectives and the desire to really understand things. The focus is on the live recording of the podcast "YOU ASK - we explain" - a format that relies on interaction. There are no ready-made answers here without questions: the audience is invited to think along, ask questions and contribute their own perspectives.
Based on these questions, the conversation with the artists Quadrature (Juliane Götz and Sebastian Neitsch) and Prof. Alexander Kemnitz (TU Dresden) will unfold. Together, they will explore how complex knowledge can be translated - for example in their project "The Mass of Money", which translates economic data on inequality into audiovisual forms and creates new approaches to topics such as wealth and capital.
The evening sees itself as an open thinking space: a place where listening is just as important as speaking, where knowledge is not only communicated but also negotiated together - in a dialog between art, science and the audience.
As part of their six-month residency at the Schaufler Lab@TU Dresden, Quadrature will develop a large-scale, immersive installation that will be presented for the first time in September 2026.
