Episode 42: Humor Lab: Sound & Science

In keeping with the theme “THE LIGHTNESS OF BEING,” the latest issue of the “Sound & Science” series focuses on nothing less than humor! Because as surprising as it may sound, humor is a complex matter. To perceive something as “funny,” it requires the fascinating interplay of thought, perception, emotion, and social intuition. Humor is thus far more than just entertainment; it’s a creative form of mental exercise that challenges us to think flexibly, sharpen our perception, and keep our minds agile. But in addition to exploring these exciting processes, the focus is, of course, also on experiencing and feeling them. By exploring how humor works in music, the event becomes a musical humor laboratory.
