Not long now: Annual Conference of the Society for Medical Education in Dresden

It’s just a few weeks away. The 2026 Annual Conference of the Society for Medical Education will take place September 17–19 in Dresden. The event will be held at the Hygiene Museum and the TU Campus, including the robot-assisted CETI Bar.

Under the theme “Next Generation Teaching—Challenges and Opportunities for High-Quality Education , ” we ’ll look ahead together to a future of medical education, continuing education, and professional development shaped by change, diversity, and innovation.

In addition to lectures, poster sessions, symposia, and workshops, this year’s program will also feature a fringe session and a science slam. Be sure to take a look at the program—it’s well worth attending. The SLÄK awards 3 CME credits per half-day for participation.

We, as the Institute for Didactics and Teaching Research in Medicine, are providing on-site support in Dresden for both the content and the organizational aspects of this conference. You can find more information on our website.
