IMEX - International Medical Educators eXchange program
The Faculty of Medicine at TU Dresden has been part of the International Medical Educators eXchange Program (IMEX) since 2025. IMEX was launched in 2006 as an initiative of medical faculties in Europe and Canada. The aim is to offer experienced lecturers at medical faculties an international orientation in medical education.
An IMEX week is organized once or twice a year, covering all locations. Exciting programs, with seminars, presentations, informal discussions and observations of teaching events showcase local features of education as well as more general topics and contributions from all participating institutions.
What the program offers participants:
- The international atmosphere in medical education gives a broader perspective and inspiration for one's own teaching.
- You can make valuable contacts and perhaps even collaborate with colleagues from other countries.
- You can exchange ideas with people from other institutions who have similar interests.
The participating medical faculties besides Dresden are:
- Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden.
- University of Bern, Switzerland
- University of Illinois, Chicago, USA
- Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine, Pasadena, USA
