🎉 MiHUBx: Successful Final Event – A Look Back at Four Years of Digital Innovation in Healthcare
On December 16, 2025, the digital innovation hub MiHUBx celebrated the successful conclusion of four years of intensive research and collaboration with a final event. Together with the project partners, the outcomes and achievements of various work packages and use cases were presented. The project involved renowned institutions such as Technische Universität Dresden, the National Center for Tumor Diseases Dresden (NCT/UCC), Hochschule Mittweida, Technische Universität Chemnitz, and Klinikum Chemnitz gGmbH.
Highlights and Results of the Project:
🏁 Organization of Numerous Events – Over the past four years, a wide range of events, committee meetings, workshops, and conferences were held, fostering continuous knowledge exchange and collective advancement of the project.
🏁 Multicenter Health Research Study – A groundbreaking multicenter study was conducted between university and non-university hospitals, based on insurance data and the OMOP model.
🏁 Innovations in Ophthalmology – Cutting-edge AI technologies for ophthalmology were developed, gaining international recognition.
🏁 Quantification of Heat-Related Hospital Admissions – For the cities of Dresden and Chemnitz, a detailed analysis of heat-related hospital admissions was conducted for the first time.
🏁 AI-Driven Medical Documentation – New AI tools were developed for the automatic classification of medical documents and extraction of clinical data, greatly reducing the burden of data maintenance in oncology.
🏁 Public Outreach and Knowledge Sharing – A wide array of informational materials was created, including patient brochures, videos, and articles for professional audiences, along with a knowledge platform to enhance dialogue in digital health research.

Looking Ahead:
Starting on January 1, 2026, the “Digital Innovation Hub for Health MiHUB will enter its next four-year funding phase. With new partnerships, an expanded regional focus from Chemnitz and Dresden to Cottbus, and continued development of digital health solutions, the project will continue its successful trajectory.
