Successful DFG proposal on clonal dynamics after stem cell transplantation

Together with Dr. Kerstin Cornils (UK Hamburg Eppendorf), Dr. Ingmar Glauche from the IMB was able to successfully acquire a DFG grant on "Modeling the reconstitution dynamics of hematopoiesis after stem cell transplantation using neutral multicolor barcode marking for high-resolution cell tracking". In this project, previous studies on clonal dynamics after transplantation are extended to a disease-specific approach. While the methodological focus is on new techniques for quantifying clones based on barcodes (BC) and vector integration sites (VIS), the translational part aims at a better understanding of the clonal dynamics in a corresponding mouse model of Fanconi anemia.
