KIMed: 1st Management Board Workshop successfully held

On 15 May, the entire KIMed team from Dresden University of Technology, Leipzig University and Mittweida University of Applied Sciences met on site at the Carl Gustav Carus University Hospital in Dresden to hold the 1st Management Board workshop. The workshop was hosted by the Centre for Medical Informatics (ZMI), in particular the Dresden PIs - Prof. Dr. Martin Sedlmayr and Dr. Eveline Prochaska, who welcomed the partners on site together with KIMed project coordinator Karolin Hofmann and KIMed communications manager Dr. Claudia Heine.

The workshop was conceived as a lively exchange platform in which interactive formats and discussion rounds were used to develop a common vision for network development and a concerted level of knowledge about the project, project roles, governance, legal issues and decisive steps in external communication, which together should pave the way for a coherent "way of working".

Das KIMed-Team in Dresden
The aim of the project, which is co-financed by the European Union and the Free State of Saxony, is to establish a secure and networked infrastructure for AI applications in medicine over the next three years. The focus is on the design of a protected research environment and concretely applicable AI demonstrators.
