KIMed Management Board at Hochschule Mittweida – Progress in the Network, New Impulses, Future Plans
On February 23, the KIMed team of Technische Universität Dresden, Universität Leipzig and Hochschule Mittweida met in the district and university town of Mittweida. From the ZMI side, Dr. Kathrin Sobe (Lead of the work packages TRE Trusted Research Environment and Development of the Portal for Accessing Data Sources), Dr. Claudia Heine (Lead Communication), and Karolin Hofmann (Lead Network Development and Coordination) participated in the dialogue-oriented meeting. The Board served as a lively in-person meeting in which we engaged in intensive personal exchange, outlined next steps and reviewed the continuous progress of the project.

Among other things, the focus was on the KIMed continuing education concept, which has set itself the goal of becoming a knowledge and exchange platform for the multifaceted field of AI in medicine and medical research with a broad webinar offering, specialized lunch talks, training sessions and an expert exchange platform, thereby addressing clinicians, researchers, established companies and start-ups.
