The intensive professional exchange clearly shows that the future of powerful AI in medicine and research requires networked data spaces, bridging the gap between science and industry, clear governance structures, and sustainable cooperation across institutional boundaries.
ℹ KIMed connects data-leading institutions, methodological expertise, and clinical application perspectives to establish a trustworthy research and development environment for AI. The joint project between Dresden University of Technology, Leipzig University, and Mittweida University of Applied Sciences will be funded with €3.6 million from ERDF and state funds from April 2025 to December 2027.
