Melanoma brain metastases: Two new publications
Researchers from the IMB have published two new articles that contribute to a better characterization of differences between intracranial and extracranial metastases of melanomas. The first publication in Scientific Reports presents a patient-specific analysis of DNA-methylation profiles of patient-matched metastases pairs utilizing a Hidden Markov Model approach:

The second publication in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology presents a computational identification in combination with an in-depth experimental validation of epigenetically regulated genes that distinguish intracranial from extracranial melanoma metastases:
