The “Austrian, German, and Swiss Society for Biomedical Engineering” invites you to the 59th Annual Conference on Biomedical Engineering (BMT 2025) from September 9 to 11 at the FHNW, Campus Muttenz in Switzerland. 👉More info: https://bmt2025.ch
The 3-day conference offers a broad platform for scientific exchange on current developments in biomedical engineering.
The ZMI is strongly represented with various contributions from our Data Science & AI research area:
🔹Our research associate Sara Bäcker will present a poster entitled "Evaluation of the relationship between hypoxic burden and AHI in clinical sleep data"
➡️ Created in collaboration with the sleep laboratory at the Carl Gustav Carus University Hospital in Dresden
🔹Our research area manager Dr.-Ing. Miriam Goldammer will be there primarily in her role as spokesperson for the BMshE expert committee:
- Chairing the BMshE expert committee meeting
- Introductory presentation on the goals and intentions of the committee, followed by a discussion
- Presentation: "Influence of gender on sleep staging from the electrocardiogram"
- Part of the new session "Gender-sensitive and inclusive biomedical engineering," initiated by BMshe – represented at BMT for the first time!
- Presentation: "Towards standardized storage for sleep medicine – Implementing DICOM for polysomnography data"
➡️ Results of the Somnolink project of the Medical Informatics Initiative (MII), generated in close collaboration with our research associate Franz Ehrlich.
