Doctoral Day 2025
On October 20–21, the Department of Medical Informatics hosted its ninth Doctoral Day. Doctoral students had the opportunity to give short presentations on their research topics and the current state of their work, address questions, identify challenges, and engage in exchange and discussion with fellow doctoral candidates, postdocs, and supervisors. The event concluded with a convivial evening in the Schillergarten, where participants gathered to relax after several days of intensive work.
Agenda
- Morning: Short presentations by doctoral candidates on the status of their doctoral studies.
- Afternoon: Interactive slots on the topics of
- “Talking to each other – shaping communication in doctoral supervision”
- “Time management & procrastination – ‘How do I plan my day efficiently and avoid procrastination?’”
Positive feedback from participants:
- Exchange of tips and experiences with other doctoral candidates
- Different stages within the doctoral process: a broad spectrum was outlined, from the discovery phase to the writing phase
