Publication in the journal “Die Ophthalmologie”

Great success for the MIHUBx-colleagues: Their work was published in the journal “Die Ophthalmologie” under the title “MiHUBx: A digital progress hub for the use of intersectoral clinical data sets using the example of diabetic macular edema”!

Use Case 1 of the MiHUBx investigates how care data can be used for individualized medicine with the help of AI methods such as machine learning. Initial results show that high data quality and international standardization are crucial for achieving reliable and explainable AI results. Furthermore, the analyses to date make it clear that close interdisciplinary collaboration between data science, medicine and IT infrastructure is necessary in order to successfully transfer innovative AI solutions into healthcare practice.

The publication underlines the relevance and great potential of the project for the future of healthcare.
