Science communication takes centre stage: meeting of the AG KOMM in Berlin

On 4 June, the 28rd meeting of the Communication Department of the Medical Informatics Initiative (MII) took place in Berlin. Around 20 communicators from the nationwide team from the participating university medical sites gathered at the MII coordination centre, TMF e. V., to coordinate the next steps in the communication development of the MII, its sub-projects, hubs and groups.

The focus included event planning for the MII-symposium in Jena, the subsequent Berlin symposium, the creation of the latest information materials, the ongoing expansion of social media communication, crisis communication, relevant developments at the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) and collaboration with the press department of the National Network of University Medicine (NUM).

From our ZMI team, Anne Seim participated as a representative of the Junior Research Groups (NWG) and the Digital Progress Hub Health MiHUBx, and Dr. Claudia Heine took part as one of the two spokespersons of the Communication Working Group.
