MiHUB and KIMed at the 17th Partner Dialogue of Carus Consilium Sachsen
On September 9, 2026, the 17th Partner Dialogue of Carus Consilium Sachsen (CCS) took place at Stadtforum Dresden. This year’s event was held under the motto“(Primary) Prevention in Practice – Optional or Essential? Strong Impulses from Saxony.”
The Partner Dialogue brings together clinicians, researchers, and representatives of Dresden University Hospital and its academic partners to present and discuss current developments in healthcare and research. The event focused on scientific findings, innovative examples from practice, and health policy developments related to prevention.
The Digital Progress Hub MiHUB and the KIMed networking project were represented with posters, presenting their latest work and developments.
For MiHUB, Prof. Martin Sedlmayr, Karolin Hofmann, and Florian Melzer presented initial results from the project’s second funding phase. Benny Plate from Mittweida also presented findings from the first funding phase, focusing on the German Health Data Utilization Act (GDNG). The project provided insights into current efforts to further develop digital structures and leverage health data. Its goal is to advance cross-sectoral healthcare through digital solutions in the participating regions of eastern Germany.
KIMed was also represented at the event by members of the Dresden project team. The colleagues presented a poster on establishing a Saxon network for artificial intelligence in medicine. Dr. Kathrin Sobe from our Dresden site provided numerous interested visitors with insights into the planned structures and approaches for strengthening collaboration and networking among AI activities in the medical field.
The poster exhibition provided both projects with an opportunity to engage in discussions with representatives from healthcare, research, and politics and to present their latest developments.
