Gerbaulet Group

We study how the hematopoietic system generates and maintains mature blood and immune cells. We use state-of-the-art methods to track and analyze the fate of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells in their natural environment.

Schmitz Group

We mainly investigate the frequency, phenotype, and functional properties of tumor infiltrating cells, which play a major role for the clinical outcome of patients and can essentially contribute to the antitumor effects mediated by immuno,- radio- and chemotherapy.

Waskow Group

The WaskowLab explores the amazing capacity of hematopoietic stem cells to produce mature blood cell lineages throughout life from newborn to the aged organism focusing on mouse and human stem cells and hematopoiesis. To this end we use state-of-the art techniques to understand the effect of cell physiological processes on stem and progenitor cell function.
