Research Priorities
The diverse research activities of the Institute and Policlinic for Occupational and Social Medicine are consistently geared towards the topic of prevention and health promotion. The focus is on public health-relevant common diseases such as musculoskeletal disorders, cardiovascular diseases, cancers and mental illness. Thereby etiological research and preventive health care research are of particular importance, especially in the occupational setting. The occupational setting provides an important starting point for disease prevention and health promotion for broad parts of the population.
