Topics in this research section
The objective of this research section for Clinical Occupational Medicine is the investigation of work-related illnesses and their causes. Together with the Polyclinic, this department leads research projects, for example in the field of infection epidemiology (MRSA colonization of healthcare workers), and also participates in research projects of all other research areas of the IPAS.
Beyond classical occupational medical issues, the research section "Clinical Occupational Medicine" deals with the challenges of occupational health and safety in industry 4.0 sectors and issues of participatory decision-making in the field of occupational healthcare and prevention.
Furthermore, the department of Clinical Occupational Medicine, again with support of the Polyclinic, is involved in teaching activities in the degree program Human Medicine as well as in the postgraduate master program Health Sciences / Public Health.
