Congratulations PD Cornelia Link-Rachner!
MSNZ fellow Cornelia Link-Rachner obtained her PD! PD is short for ‘Privatdozent’ and is awarded after the habilitation. Habilitation is the highest-ranking university examination and signifies that Cornelia Link-Rachner got her university level teaching qualification (“Venia Legendi”) for internal medicine.
In the lengthy process, Cornelia Link-Rachner lectured undergraduate students, demonstrated her excellency in research with a number of publications, summarized her extensive body of work in a habilitation treatise, and underwent a public examination.
Within the MSNZ Cornelia Link-Rachner and her team research the repertoire of a specific immune cell subtype in blood cancer patients. In particular, the group is interested in T-cells and how their composition changes in patients who received a blood stem cell patients. The goal of the research program is to be able to predict a patients long-term clinical prognosis and potential complications by analysing their specific T-cell composition, and thereby individualize treatment plans.
