ZML hosts international EMBO Workshop “Lipid Code to Life” in Dresden
ZML invites researchers to Dresden for the EMBO Workshop (graphic by Palina Nepachalovich).
In September 2026, the Center for Membrane Biochemistry and Lipid Research (ZML) will host the international EMBO Workshop “Lipid Code to Life” in Dresden. The workshop will provide an interdisciplinary platform for leading scientists and early-career researchers in lipidomics, chemical biology, structural biology and membrane biophysics to discuss the latest advances in modern lipid research.
The scientific programme will focus on lipid functions, lipid-protein interactions and mechanisms of lipid quality control. Workshop sessions will cover topics including structural and spatial lipidomics, chemical biology approaches to study biological membranes, membrane biophysics and structural biology at membrane interfaces.
The workshop is organised by Maria Fedorova, Ünal Coskun, Joost Holthuis, Valerie O’Donnell and Liana C Silva. The event aims to foster interdisciplinary exchange, strengthen scientific networks and stimulate new collaborations across the rapidly evolving field of lipid biology.
Researchers interested in participating can register until 15 May 2026:
