Professor Dr. Marion Ansorge-Schumacher
Professor Marion Ansorge-Schumacher, born 1971, studied biology at RWTH Aachen University focusing on microbiology, biotechnology, molecular biology and organic chemistry. Having finished with distinction, she gained her Dr. rer. nat. at the Institute of Enzyme Technology of the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf in the Research Center Jülich supported by the Hermann-Schlosser-Stiftung of Degussa AG. In 2007, Professor Ansorge-Schumacher habilitated at the Chair of Biotechnology of RWTH Aachen University. Previously, in 2006, she was appointed full professor and leader of the Chair of Technical Chemistry/Enzyme Technology at TU Berlin, and became expert referee and host of the Alexander-von-Humboldt-Stiftung shortly afterwards. In 2012, she moved to TU Dresden as appointed leader of the Chair for Molecular Biotechnology, which she has since been profiling in research and teaching.
