New Publication - C16-terpenoids from Pseudomonas in Cell Chem. Biol.

Please have a look into our new publication about the Discovery and biosynthesis of non-canonical C₁₆-terpenoids from Pseudomonas in Cell Chemical Biology. This work identifies the gene clusters directing their biosynthesis and reconstitutes their biosynthetic pathways in vitro, revealing that biosynthesis of these C₁₆-terpenoids is performed via a uniform intermediate, with product diversification solely achieved by the terpene synthases.
This paper displays a huge effort containing bioinformatics, enzymology, volatile compound isolation and characterization; significantly expanding the understanding of C₁₆-terpenoid structural space!
