Physical Organic Chemistry
The Physical Organic Chemistry at TU Dresden is located in the New Chemistry Building (NCH) at Bergstraße 66.
Research topics are the development of new ligands and matrix materials, the synthesis of organometallic complexes and their use as OLED emitters or catalysts, the synthesis and application of ionic liquids as well as the use of quantum chemical methods to analyze photophysical properties and the calculation of catalysis cycles.
In teaching, the Chair is responsible for the lecture Organic Chemistry 1, lab courses and the training of student teachers. Modules in organometallic chemistry and quantum chemistry are offered in the Master's degree program.
