Science served in an understandable way: Pint of Science with the Weidinger group
From May 19 to 21, 2025, the Pint of Science Festival took place in Dresden for the first time - a science festival that brings research to places where you wouldn't expect it: the pub. In a relaxed atmosphere, visitors were able to be inspired by a variety of exciting lectures and gain completely new insights into current research.
Prof. Inez Weidinger kicked off the Dresden lecture series with a talk on the electrification of our energy supply and the challenges posed by limited raw material resources - a topic that could hardly be more pertinent.
Special thanks go to our doctoral students Linda Feuerstein and Fanny Reichmayr, who, as part of the organizational team, contributed significantly to the success of the festival. Their commitment and enthusiasm for science communication made the event a real highlight.
